Located on Albany Shaker Road in Loudonville, The Hindu Temple Society of the Capital District was founded in 1976. It is a place of worship by Hindu devotees in and around the Capital District. Veterans Recognition Lunch
On Monday, November 5, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., CSSC is proud to recognize all veterans at our annual Veterans Recognition Luncheon to be held at The Beltrone Living Center. All veterans are invited to attend (at no charge) and to bring a guest, if they wish. Non-veterans are asked to make a suggested donation of $5. Healthy Bones for Life Leader Training
The Beltrone Living Center 6 Winners Circle, Albany, NY, United StatesHealthy Bones for Life is a community-based exercise and education program, made possible by a partnership between Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital and Colonie Senior Service Centers, Inc., that promotes bone health. The exercise program consists of weight-bearing exercises, muscle strengthening, flexibility, posture training, and balance exercises. These exercises, along with a healthy diet rich in calcium and vitamin D, have been shown to help maintain and improve bone health. Healthy Bones for Life classes are led by trained volunteers that instruct group members on how to perform the exercises and provide educational handouts. On Thursday, November 15, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., please join Wayne Mortimer, Proprietor of Mort’s Maple of Averill Park, for an introduction to the delicious process of maple sugaring in New York State.
