November’s Sacred Space Visit – The Chapel at St. Joseph’s Provincial House
November 14, 2018 @ 10:45 am - 12:00 pm
The journey continues on Wednesday, November 14, as we visit another Sacred Space. Join Diane Conroy-LaCivita as she travels to the Chapel at St. Joseph’s Provincial House in Latham. St. Joseph’s Provincial House is the center and headquarters of the Albany Province of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet. The Provincial House was built under the guidance of Sister M. Athnasia Gurry and was finished and dedicated in the spring of 1963. It serves the congregation of St. Joseph’s in many ways: housing the administrative offices, music center, hospitality center, archives, residence for retired sisters, and the Chapel. The Chapel is the central part of the Provincial House and boasts a beautiful mosaic of the Resurrected Christ. It is one of the largest indoor mosaics in the United States.
The CSSC shuttle bus will leave The Beltrone Living Center at 10:45 a.m. and return at approximately 11:45 a.m. Don’t miss this opportunity to visit this
beautiful Chapel. There is no fee to attend. However, we do suggest a donation for CSSC’s Transportation Services.
