    On Monday, November 5, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., CSSC is proud to recognize all veterans at our annual Veterans Recognition Luncheon to be held at The Beltrone Living Center.     Healthy Bones for Life is a community-based exercise and education program, made possible by a partnership between Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital and Colonie Senior Service Centers, Inc., that promotes bone health. The exercise program consists of weight-bearing exercises, muscle strengthening, flexibility, posture training, and balance exercises. These exercises, along with a healthy diet rich in calcium and vitamin D, have been shown to help maintain and improve bone health. Healthy Bones for Life classes are led by trained volunteers that instruct group members on how to perform the exercises and provide educational handouts.   • Outing to Capital Holiday Lights in the Park

    On Monday, December 10, CSSC will sponsor a complimentary evening outing to Capital Holiday Lights in the Park, a spectacular show with over 125 light displays and scenes shown throughout historic Washington Park in Albany. After we drive through the park, we will stop by the Lake House to enjoy all sorts of crafts, costumed characters, refreshments, and even Santa himself. The underwriting of this excursion is made possible by a grant secured by Albany County Legislator Peter Crouse. (Thank you Legislator Crouse!)     Please join us on Tuesday, January 22, 2019, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, for a hands-on art class instructed by local multi-media artist Marjorie Ward who will introduce attendees to the medium of alcohol inks. Alcohol inks are an acid-free, highly-pigmented, and fast drying medium used on non-porous surfaces. St. Joseph Church, once referred to as the "Ironworker's Church," was founded May 2, 1847, by Fr. Peter Havermans. In 1848 the Church, serving a mostly Irish-American Community in South Troy, came under the care of Jesuits.
