Ten Week Fall Session of Tai Chi Being Offered
Tai Chi is a gentle form of exercise utilizing every part of the body coordinated in a natural and slow rhythm. The gentle, continuous, safe movements are relaxing and can benefit balance, strength, circulation, and memory. It is often called “Medication in Motion”. This program will use the evidence-based Tai Chi for Arthritis and Falls Prevention Program designed by Dr. Paul Lam. Join us for the first session of our Positive Living RSVP Lecture Series on Friday, November 15, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Lakeview Room at The Beltrone Living Center. The session will be conducted by Sheryl Kaplan, LCSW-R, CPP, and will focus on the importance of positivity in maintaining a healthy brain, including volunteering, as well as an overview of strategies for maintaining a healthy brain as you age.
