This year’s Chefs in Motion: Culinary Tasting and Competition will bring together some of the community’s most talented chefs/restauranters for an unforgettable evening of fun, flavor, and friendly rivalry. All proceeds go to CSSC’s Transportation.
Please join us on Monday, September 28th, 2026, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at The Beltrone Living Center, 6 Winners Circle, Albany.
Led by Colonie Senior Service Centers, New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets, Cornell Cooperative Extension, and area growers and producers to highlight the fantastic items locally grown and produced. Chefs will be provided a “shopping cart” of locally sourced products and seasonal produce prior to the event and will be asked to create a signature dish, either a soup, salad, or entrée whose ingredients are at least 75% locally sourced. The official judges will be scoring in four categories: Creativity, Taste, Appearance and Use of Locally Sourced Ingredients. Additionally, attendees at the event will choose the People’s Choice Award. The winner in each category will win $500 plus bragging rights.
