May’s Healthy and Local Cooking Class – Farm Fresh Korean Cuisine
May 12, 2022 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
Korean food is some of the healthiest on earth, with an emphasis on vegetables, meats cooked simply and without much oil, and a near obsession with the fermented vegetable kimchi.
Much of the food that exists in Korea today and the customs surrounding it have come from royal cuisine and the complex customs of the ancient court. The food is a study in balance with careful consideration given to temperature, spiciness, color and texture along with considered presentation.
With generous support from CDPHP, please join a Chef from Sunhee’s Farm and Kitchen, and Jennifer Zhao, Executive Director of the International Center of the Capital Region for a class entitled “Farm Fresh Korean Cuisine” on Thursday, May 12 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon at King Thiel Senior Community, 17 Elks Lane in Latham.
There is no charge to attend this class, but space is limited, and registration is required. Please call Diane for questions or to register at 518-459-2857 ext. 305.
